Project status

OBTC status

Status: technical review / mainnet-candidate materials.

This is a technical review site for an independent Bitcoin-derived experiment. OBTC is not Bitcoin, not a Bitcoin consensus proposal, not a production financial network, and not investment advice.

Investment adviceNo
Price / exchange / liquidity claimNo
Miner revenue claimNo
Public faucetNo
External validationPending / limited / only as documented

Reviewer evidence should be described as feedback or internal validation unless a reviewer explicitly agrees to be named and the evidence is public.

Validation materials

Source-only mainnet-candidate review package with explicit limitations.

The current publication target is v0.1.0-mainnet-candidate.1 for external technical review. The final gate documents use source commits as the verification anchor; no project-built binary archives or project SHA256SUMS are distributed for MC1.

Release notes

Release scope, source baselines, build-from-source entry points, test status, and reporting path for the MC1 external technical review release.

Open release notes

Go / No-Go

Decision record for publishing MC1 as source-only external technical review, with explicit no-go conditions for broader public operation or production wording.

Open decision record

Known limitations

Non-blocking MC1 limits include source-only distribution, no live DNS seed claim, no final 72h mainnet-candidate node-set observation, and no funded auto-renew recommendation.

Open known limitations

Final issue gate

Issue-gate review classifying prior node and wallet blockers as closed, downgraded, or deferred outside MC1 external technical review scope.

Open issue gate

Reviewer packet

Modular review entry point for consensus boundaries, expiry, REAP, replay protection, wallet renewal, operator procedures, and focused review cards.

Open reviewer packet

Test report

Summary of focused and broad local gates for the node and wallet source baselines used by the final issue-gate decision.

Open test report

Wallet risk review

Failure-mode review for passphrase, chain sync, RPC, expired-boundary behavior, backup/restore/rescan, network selection, TLS, confirmations, and wallet directory mixups.

Open wallet risk review

Public testnet self-test

Public reviewer entry point for limited public testnet node and wallet testing. It is not a final mainnet-candidate node-set observation claim.

Open public testnet guide

Public testnet self-test

Public testnet access is documented, with manual test coin issuance.

There is no public faucet. Testnet coins have no real-world value and are only for testing node sync, wallet receive, expiry inspection, and renewal paths.

Risk boundary

Mainnet-candidate does not mean production-ready financial infrastructure.

OBTC is a Bitcoin-derived monetary system designed for long-term sustainability through UTXO lifecycle management, renewal, and REAP. This page does not make an investment, price, exchange listing, liquidity, pool endorsement, or miner revenue claim. Wallet support remains limited to documented testnet paths and is not a production wallet release.
